Dreaded oil question

I have read that racing oil should not be used for daily drivers and long term use , is this oil OK for that ???

No. You heard right. Racing oil yields maximum protection under hot conditions but is too thick when cold and therefore not good for the many cold starts cars see in daily use. Best go with a good 5w40 or 5w50 for street use.

DT 40 is not a racing oil, it is meant for street use.

Ahhhhhh... missed that one small eight letter word.

Buy the oil and filter and drive up to Agoura. We'll put everything on and change the oil. Hell, we can even flush the brake and clutch fluid. Nice drive and a cold drink after words.

It's for a customer & I don't have time to do it before she goes on a trip.
