All aftermarket glass window tops reduce the engine access to some degree. Personally, I do not find it all that troublesome, but apparently some do. I'd suggest you find someone with an aftermarket top and ask them to put it in the service position so you can see how you feel about it.

You could also consider finding one of the OEM glass window top frames in a bone yard and retrofitting the factory top, which does have better access.
