The abandoned Porsche, and more ghost town stuff...

This particular town, what little history I could eke out, was developed in 1907 along with 3 other towns in the area because of a railroad being extended through. Since there is no trace of a railroad anywhere, I assume the towns died with it. I haven't found any evidence of Navina surviving past WWII, which could also be a factor.
Most ghost towns in Oklahoma apparently died from: Oil Busts, Fire destroying the entire downtown, Railroads closing, The Depression, The Dust Bowl, Modern highways, and WWII. Between 1925 and 1942, many were punched in the gut by all of the above in a row.

I am also blown away by cars like this being left out to rot as if they were a 1980 Chevy Citation.
This one is right next to a barn that is probably just filled with junk! (Who knows, might be filled with Duesenbergs.... sort of doubt it)

Wow, what a cool find. If it has the matching numbers engine and trans that would really be something. Unfortunately a lot of these cars were chopped up and treated like any used race car. Even so as long as it's not too far gone from rust it will be worth saving.
