20th anniversary of Boxster approaching

Can't believe it's almost 20 years since the first model.Any rumors of a special 20th anniversary model?

911 anniversary editions seem to run in 25 year increments.


I'm guessing that the Boxster will sadly be ignored because it's not a flagship product.
But personally I'll be celebrating its 20th!

You can be sure they will be churning out some special editions for the 25th anniversary. By that point they will likely launch the next gen model (719?) and drop some Spyders, anniversary editions, etc. Maybe with some NA 6cyl versions.

I think they introduced it in the states at the Detroit show, January of 97? Not sure when the first model shipped in late 96 in Europe.
