Paint Colour combination (roof/body)
Hi all
I need the aesthetic input/suggestion/wisdom of members of this forum. I purchase a 1999 Artic Silver 986 with a dark blue interior and dark blue roof.
I don't like the Artic Silver colour (personal preference - no office) and have a great deal on a top quality repaint job from a professional who would redo the whole car with any colour I want. Anyhow, cost is not an issue as he owes me "big" anyway.
I like dark colour cars and dark colours in general: black, dark blue or dark green (BRG). I don't want to change the inside and the roof and will keep them dark blue.
Question: With a dark blue roof /insides, what colour would work well? I am leaning towards the Dark Blue to keep it in the same hue as the rool. Thoughts? What about outside black + dark blue roof? Would it look ok?
Input welcomed!

This 918 Spyder is in Viola-metalic. It looks black in some light, and very deep blue in other light. In person, the color is stunning.

I'd go with black.

+1 Black.
It may do well with the blue roof. Is the roof metallic or smooth gloss? Can you post a current pic?

I personally think Porsches look really good in dark metallic grey colors - seal grey or similar. How about classic Porsche Slate Grey?
Some of the new colors are nice - Agate Grey & Graphite Blue.

How about something a bit different. Google the classic 911 car that porsche made limited numbers of a few years back. The one I saw (not sure if all the same) was silver but had the two stripes going back to front (top) of slightly a different shade. Dare to be different.😊. I guess you could do with any color. Good luck with whatever you choose.

A Boxster with black roof, black interior, and black paint is called "Triple black". You could do a "Triple blue"
