I am curious Bryanf, when you wrote the 996 knocked the socks off the boxster s, did you mean in every area, 0-60, top speed, other? It would help him to get some opinions. I had a 77 911 C3.0 which I enjoyed but I knew when I got back in I wanted something a bit more refined and a convertible. So far, the 2000 s has been awesome. No complaints, I feel very, very lucky to have it as a toy.

Thanks,

David

The power of the carrera really surprised me, A LOT more than my 02 S and I was driving an automatic. The noticeable power difference is the only reason I say it knocks the socks off the boxster. The boxster seems to handle just as good if not better. The interiors feel almost identical to me (minus the small back seat of coarse).
