My friend is bouncing back and forth between a boxster s and 996 purchase. He is an air cooled 911 guy and never thought much of the Boxsters or any water pampers. He picked mine up and drove it from PA to MA and love the handling. As.a result, he is now actively looking. I am curious Bryanf, when you wrote the 996 knocked the socks off the boxster s, did you mean in every area, 0-60, top speed, other? It would help him to get some opinions. I had a 77 911 C3.0 which I enjoyed but I knew when I got back in I wanted something a bit more refined and a convertible. So far, the 2000 s has been awesome. No complaints, I feel very, very lucky to have it as a toy.
