I don't get a lot of this. I can only think of two instances. One was a Benz 550 full of teenagers. The more amusing was a Dodge Stratus. All I could think of was the SNL skit with Will Ferrel yelling "I drive a Dodge Stratus!"

We used to have that a couple of years back. Not sure why that function was pulled.

LOL, there was also a time that someone driving one of our local water dept trucks (big like a semi) was next to us at a light and started revving. I looked up and the driver, my wife, and I shared a good laugh.

There will always be some knucklehead who wants to show off for his girlfriend or go home and tell his bros he beat a Porsche with his POS car. When I used to live near Sonoma Raceway (Sears Point) they had an open drag night every Wednesday and for $25 you could get 7-8 runs in. I used to tell them to meet me at the strip the following Wednesday and we'd settle up under safer conditions. Non of the challengers ever came and I had a good time running my Boxster against a variety of makes.

challengers are not fast, especially past 60. That would have been a decent race to watch

That's funny you brought up this topic, as the start of Spring I was at a red light a few cars back (double lane) and the guy beside me with in a tuner car with his gf (probably ex-gf now) decided to give me the nod and revs --- sure enough I nodded and laughed at him and at the corner of my eye (sunglasses on) I was watching the cars a head of me drive away so I knew I had room to move forward... so I took off quick and all of a sudden I hear this loud BANG... I look back and the guy drove straight into the car in front of him !!! HAHAAHA.... OMG that was true Karma right there.... laughed all the way home. The guy was looking at me take off so he thought it was clear for him as his eyes were still on me as I took off..... PORSCHE 1 - TUNER 0 !
