You might consider removing the red carpeting inside and swithcing for dark grey

I once walked on water but only for a nanosecond. Not sure about the grey carpet( it does look good) but I'll take those seats any day (Recaros?). Great looking interior!

No, you are irrelevant
You come off like a spoiled littlie brat who's Daddy bought him a sports car

The OP was simply making an observation that a lot of new members seen to want to do all kinds of "improvements" to their cars before they really even learn what their car is capable of. I do believe he made a point of not calling anyone out, nor did he rag on anything you were doing

Maybe its the video game generation, I don't know.

Give it a rest and the people here will be more likely to help you
Keep up the attitude and you will get little or no help

BTW, did you check to see if both rear fog lights work?

I don't generally respond to posts and enjoy reading all the great info and comments, but every now and then , well....

You are just mad because you're probably twice my age and still paying for your Boxster. Probably have economic issues by the way you refer to me.

Anyways.

Regarding real info:

I am working on converting the rear fog lights to extra brake lights. So they light up with the brake. A mod that will last until the new lights arrive.
Kinda useless because I just spent $400 on led tail lights, but fun.

I bought these 🏻️

I wired the rear fogs to be part of the rear tail lights (not the rear brake lights). It gives it a much nicer 'wrap around' effect having the main rear light, the rear fog, and that tiny corner bulb all lit.

Yes those are the Recaro GT3 seats. I picked those up early on in my Boxster ownership, glad I didn't hesitate because they are tough to find in this color without spending a big chunk of change. That's not my car in the pic though (its basalt grey, my car is arctic silver) and I have the center console painted silver with a carbon fiber shifter. I still need to get rid of the red carpeting on the door and foot wells. I don't think carpeting on the door of a sports car is in keeping with this design or makes any sense to me. I will probably change the carpeting to dark grey on the rear shelf as well. I'm a big fan of the classic red on silver, but I think the red stands out better if there's not so much of it. I want to also add some Rennline pedals and the thing behind the pedals.

Using the proper gauge wire, find the correct traces in the bulb carriage and solder them together. There was some funny business when switching to LED bulbs involving swapping power and ground traces(I think?). Sounds like you won't have to worry about that.

Did you ever figure out the year of your car?

I looked at this Recaros a while back and as I recall they were about half of what I paid for my Box. Great find on your part they look fabulous. I'd settle for a set of Boxster Red sport seats but those are like finding the needle in the haystack. The gray carpet is growing on me, did you buy the carpet used from a wrecked Boxster or have an upholstery shop do it?

You really are a punk ass kid aren't you
It would not be hard to be twice the age you act since that is 2 years old

While it really is none of your business I have been retired for a while and I paid cash for my Boxster and bought it new.

I worked hard and made my money. You will never learn the true value of things when they are given to you

Learn some manners little boy

That carpeting in the pic was done by RUF with their own branded floor matts. An easy job for most auto interior places though.

Mod done,

I will put electrical tape around it. Also changed the rear fog light bulbs to the smaller one so the light looks even.

So to complete this mod is to:
Disconnect the cable 5/ gray and white. That is for the pull action of fog light

Connect a wire from 1 (far left black and gray) to 5 the one disconnected.

That way I will use the 2 pull fog light switch will be for the white neon under glow just to play around hehee
