Apart from the fact that wheels that size are not recommended for that model year? What are the offsets compared to your original wheels? That will tell you if you need spacers.

I believe the 97 is the year that does not recommend 18" wheels. I have a 98 with the MY 02 wheels on it and the tire inflation sticker under the hood has 18" wheels listed. Build date is 04/1998.
