Wheel boxster pic

Anybody have a pic of a 1998 Boxster with 2006 18" Carrera 5-spoke 997 wheels? Thinking. About buying a set. A black Boxster would be perfect but beggars can't be choosers.

Thanks.

Not a 1998 Boxster, but you get the idea.

Thanks. Any issue with them fitting?

Apart from the fact that wheels that size are not recommended for that model year? What are the offsets compared to your original wheels? That will tell you if you need spacers.

I believe the 97 is the year that does not recommend 18" wheels. I have a 98 with the MY 02 wheels on it and the tire inflation sticker under the hood has 18" wheels listed. Build date is 04/1998.

I thought it was 97 - 99 that was 17" max. I could be wrong about that. I'm storing way too much Boxster data in my head

After 2,253 posts that's not a totally implausible explanation!

'97 was not suited for 18" wheels. Structure changes to accommodate 18" wheels were made in '98

The previous owner wanted a wide look and installed them with something like 15 mm front and 25 mm rear spacers (I forget the exact thickness). They fit fine, and they don't actually need spacers that thick.
