Glass read window Engine Access

Had my 2001S' top replaced. Now I can't put the top in service position due to the glass window hitting the roll bar when I try to lift the back of the top into position.

I called the installer and he didn't know what to do since he'd never accessed an engine.

Does anyone have a solution?

I used a bungee cord. I clip it to the front of the top and below the window. You still have enough room to work on the top of the engine.

I use bungees also and move the top open and/or shut slightly while holding up the back window/rear end of top to get the best roof position for access

I need to buy a bungee cord. I take a piece of rope and tie it to the roll bar and run it underneath the bottom of the top to move it forward. I take the hard cover off also when I need more room. 6 10mm buts and it gives you a ton of more room.

Rope or bungee to hold the window out of the way, easy breezy. A very small Inconvenience for a much improved top.
