Not a Porsche, but not something you see everyday...
....at a Chinese restaurant in Oklahoma City.
Makes me all the more anxious to see a 918 in person.

supposedly the depreciation is terrible on these cars due to the company updating them in the same manner apple does the iphone. Because of this, a used on is semi reasonable to own. A kid at the middle school gets picked up in a volcano orange one in rural upstate south carolina haha, the kids go nuts. ( I prefer the older woman who drops her kid off in her f type coupe though!)

I was invited to the launch event for the "affordable" version, the 570S, 570 bhp, base price of about $185k, they want to get the high end Porsche buyers to switch sides. The car will come out next year

The draw of a McLaren vs a Porsche might be compelling - Formula 1 heritage + race cars + sports cars. This certainly appeals to me.
For my likes, Porsche has become too soft, too PC, too worried about C02, and much too focused on having three models for every possible market niche.
Sorry to sound so critical, but if it were me, I'd skip over the 918 with the Cayenne/Panamera inspired interior for a McLaren everyday of the week.

I have to agree with Tom. The McLaren is my dream car. I'd rather have that than anything else out there. I saw these two parked on the street in Montreal during F1 week last year and almost needed a quiet moment alone.
