I can't believe I forgot to comment on that. But that could be fixed by laying a foam roller across the span of the rear trunk so that its strapped down using velcro. The velcro could be threaded through the center of the foam roller and secured on the backside of the trunk so that the trunk can close. This way the tire sits on the foam roller, just like indoor rollers. And watch out for the potholes, very easy to dent the rear trunk because of the convex shape.

Still for the time needed to clamp on the fork mount, remove the wheel, strap down the rear tire. I'm already out on my bike using the Wilwood or Bird system.... and since the top can go up, no one's sitting in my parked car while I'm out on the the bike.
