I i agree with you there Jake, i also find them a pain when cleaning as soon as i've dried the the car water runs out from them down the panel. I can't make my mind up on the 'shark gill' look, but i do think it has a cleaner look than the originals.

I wonder what other designs/ideas would work instead.
