Just have to give a shout out and Props
I just recieved my lights from Particlewave . I cannot say enough good things about his work......just stellar.
I managed to get two coats of wax on the front before installing the headlights so it should b protected for the winter. I did find one thing I did not like and it has noting to do with PW's work. My drivers side headlight would not light up...sao I found that bracket that holds the receptacle was broken...it must have happened when I hit the two Deer months ago and the shop just plugged the light in by hand. Does this require a new mount or is there a fix for this ??

There is a clip that holds the plug into that bracket. If the bracket is broke, it's part of the HL mounting assy.

Sadly yes....the bracket is snapped off..so it is the entire mount.....well crap

try to JB weld it first...
I had the same wonderful interaction w/ a deer... actually two... in another vehicle. The headlight (xenons as well) mounting tabs broke there too but I was able to JB them to make them work like new again.

You can pull the wheel liner back a little bit and reach in there to plug it in by hand.

I did just plug them in and they work fine. I got them adjusted tonight and words cannot describe how great they are. They are so much superior to the halogen lights. And a word to Fred, I know I bugged you about a 55 watt unit way over a year ago, glad you talked me out of it...these things are so bright it is unreal. I adjusted them so the cut off is just below a tag on a small SUV (Honda) and below trunk level on a compact car while in low beam. ort I managed to get the two cutoff lines to merge perfectly and on bright the ISS called me and gave me a compliment.
Pictures to follow.....I know I am boring you guys to death....But Particalewave and Fred are a hard pair to beat.

Yes, that's the headlight vent tube. There are 2 small holes in the bottom of the headlight connector that vent through the tube.

So.....
It just helps keep the inside of the lamphouse dry by negative pressure as you are driving using the venturi effect ?

I'd think more for just expansion and contraction of air. It's passive, so no air actually being forced into it.

The tubing should exhibit negative pressure at highway speeds, not much but it should have a continual drying effort due to the venturi effect....not sure how effective but I'm sure smarter people than I came up with this.
