GAHH top question...

Now that GAHH is a paying sponsor, do they have a representative as a member on the forum?

I have one of the Boxster tops installed that has the issue with the window separating from the top. But I purchased it and had it installed through a local shop that deals in convertable tops. I wanted to see what the policy was on these under warranty and how to go about having it replaced. I know almost half of the cost of the top was in the installation and I don't want to have to pay close to $700 for a replacement to be installed. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.

Does this happen to all the tops still? or have then been updated? I am looking to put in the glass top soon. Also how is the vision compared to the plastic?

I doubt they read the threads. When I last visited with them, and before they signed up for sponsorship, they never knew this forum existed.

Call them and talk with them about a free replacement. I'm sure they'll make it right ... Lord knows you'd begin to complain loud and long here on this forum if they didn't, and I wouldn't blame you a bit!

From what I heard, it was only the first tops that did this and they corrected the problem and fixed those tops that reported the problem. You should report it as well.

I'm guessing I would have to contact the shop that I got it from about a replacement because they are the ones that placed the order. My concern is that the shop might try to gouge some money out of me that i'm not sure if GAHH will cover or not. I figured now that they are a sponser that they might answer customer concerns on here.

How much do the GAHH tops with glass window run? How much did members of this forum pay? Also what is the cost of installation?

Thanks,
James

I got a response back on the phone already and it sounds like they are basically taking care of everything. I am impressed so far... Jack couldn't have been a nicer guy. It sounds like they really stand by their product quality. I will keep everyone updated.

My installation cost was around $700 if I remember correctly. The top w/ glass window is listed around $1000 right now on GAHH's website... http://www.gahh.com/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=boxster&osCsid=bb84e9b6cf4fcb033e0a1f490f740e6e

There are also some dealers on Ebay selling GAHH's products.

Any Dallas/FT. Worth area installers??

Jack,
I tried to call but went to your voicemail. Do you have any authorized Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area installers?? Is there a discount if you mention the board? Thanks,
Mike
