Seems 80k gets into the '00s and a nice 16k mile car in Ferrari.

On the 308 and 328, while beautiful I thought they were gutless when I drove them.

I would look into what it costs to maintain an Italian beauty before doing any serious shopping. While they seem "attainable" the cost of entry is just the beginning. The Testarossa requires an "engine out" service for cam belts and other items. It's motor is a flat 12 vs. a V-12 which results in a very different sound. I do agree they are uber cool but the practical side of me says run away.

A friend of mine actually ended up with a 3k mile Testarossa about 20 years ago, it was his father's who died suddenly. He had it for a couple of years and sold it when a major service was coming due, it surprised me but when he mentioned what it was going to cost I understood.

Definitely, love everything he did at Pontiac, starting with creating the GTO in 1964 & everything that followed until he was promoted to General Manager of Chevy in 1969, I think. He was destined to become President of GM until he quit.

For me it was a 911 Turbo.

And I shall own one in retirement, but not anytime soon. Next Porsche will probably be a 991S...

Man that sucks!! Such an awesome car. Back in those days a slant nose and Testarossa were all Crocket and Tubbs !!

I love the RUF wheels..

Ferrari 275 GTB/4, of course in red! Ferrari 250 SWB California Spyder. Silver Mercedes 300SL roadster was another favorite! Any 356 Speedster... Love silver but that Stone Grey, wow! Not a fan of American cars though a '65 Shelby GT350 (white with blue stripes) would do!
