I would agree, not much difference in power. However, you are young and this would make a great summer project. Plus, if you do it right, you might even make a little cash in the process of learning!

15 HP is totally not worth the money, I am just looking for th lower miles engine to help with resale haha , the whole idea is to make money and final goal is to buy an s on the end or another 2.5 with money to upgrade. Can anyone advise me on transmissions, my car is tip, can I mat the 2.7 to my tip or does the 2000 transmission need to go in with the 2000 engine?

I don't think you will have any problem with the 2.7 in front of your Tip. Converting to manual trans will involve alot of changes but may increase resale value more than the low mileage engine.

This would alow me to sell the 5 speed from the 2.7 though which is a bit more money to be made. Haha now i just need the 2k for the roller, i already have someone that can help me haul the car up here. Also waiting on the seller to contact me as it is not specified that the engine is fine however it seems as if it ought to be.
