I'll post some pics when i get it back on. Trying to decide if i should black/smoke out around the other lights and just leave the headlight oval red. Once its together it's hopefully staying together.
Also wondering what to do with the silver eyebrow. Tint it or leave it alone.

Please lay the lens on there and take a pic before you change anything. I'm thinking it might look good as is

OK Woody, just for you.

I'm thinking that if I darken/smoke the eyebrow and the parts where the turn signal and other lights are and leave the oval shape around the headlight red it would look better? Maybe match the eyebrow color on the other lights? I wish I knew how to photoshop.

I think the lower part with the blinker and the corner also need to be painted red.

You mean the black shields under the lights or the glass lens cover itself? I've painted everything under the lens but them.

The underside of the lens but not the clear part. You would also need to separate the corner piece and paint the bottom of it too.

I want to like them, just like my original post in this thread, but it just doesn't look right. I like the OEM Lits much better.

I may be figuring that out too. Looks good on a black Box but I'm not sure it transfers to all colors.

Ok here is the first quickie trial adjustment, silver. I didnt do the small lights black reflectors or the corner lens yet because its not done.
Other adjustments that could be made, change all the silver to black/smoke, black out all the silver except leave eyebrows original. Get rid of the washer corner, that I've never used?

Of course if the lens didn't get messed up it could look better.

So when I look at your Boxster pic I see red and black but for some reason the red in the Headlights is just making the headlight look too funky. The trim edge color seems nice but I think it needs black in the headlight instead of red.

As you may know light colors advance and dark colors recede and the red is drawing attention to all the shapes in the headlight which is in conflict with the smooth gentle lines of the outside of the car.

I think making the headlight recede with dark colors is more pleasing to the eye and provides just enough contrast to make the headlight look interesting rather than unsettling.

The white outline does delineate the headlights more which is not a bad thing.

I think of headlights like the eyes of a lady and the right coloring can make the difference between a sexy look or a disturbing look.

Most sexy looking eyes have dark accents. IMO

So literally, its what ever turns YOU on.

It should look better when the lenses are clear. Right now, I don’t like it as much as I thought I would.

The red lends to a more recessed look to the headlight...and I've seen this look before, but I couldn't remember on what car (which was frustrating me to no end). I thought it was the old Fiat spider, but then I realized it was the Datsun 280z.

No opinion (and no offense intended), but if you like the look of the Datsun, go for it. Personally, I prefer the OEM.

On a side note, you should win some sort of award for the most passion/time spent on your (relatively) new car. Regarding the headlight...either way you decide, I'm sure you've enjoyed every minute. And that's what's really important.

This is what I'm going to go with. The lower parts are painted now, took out the amber inside lens and I've solved the corner piece problem. Its clear now with red behind it. Starting on the lens today.
