NYC / Long Island PCA Autocross season opener 3/8 & 3/9
To all NY Metro Porsche fans:
We've suffered through a winter of driving the FWD beater or taking the subway everywhere (at least I have!). But now it's getting (a little) warmer, and it's time for AX season to start soon!
On March 8/9, our local PCA chapter is having an autocross seminar and competition day out at Tobay Beach. These are great guys, lots of cool cars, it's cheap ($35/day) and you will have fun no matter what.
I won't have my turbo until the week after, but I will bring my Boxster S!
Who's in?

I've never done autocross before, is this something I can just go and learn? I always get confused seeing so many cones, ha.

It's always good to go early in the season when it comes to the Long Island autox events.
Once the weather warms up way too many cars show up. More cars, fewer runs.
Although PCA is not as bad as SCCA.

Great turnout, lots of cool cars. Only 1 other Boxster competing there though, we need to represent!
My runs went pretty ok.
The other cars in my class were 997's and a 981S, I was about 5-7s behind the really serious custom cars in the heavily modified classes. Looking forward to more circuit and AX as things thaw out!
