For those who have done it, how is the gbox detent holding up?

Shifting into and out of second is stiff in my car. I’ve only failed to engage it once and gotten some grind. It hasn’t popped out yet, but I’m always afraid it isn’t fully engaged. I’m wondering if I should try the gbox detent or the 8mm ball and new spring I see on the 996 forums.
