Rebadge a Boxster S

My car has the Aerokit option, which comes with a new trunk lid and (optionally) no badging.

Yesterday, I added a P O R S C H E logo, in the style, of the 2014 Boxster/Cayman. I like it.

It's a decal. Ebay

Porsche Boxster 986 S 3rd Brake Light Decal Overlay 97 98 99 00 01 02 03 04 | eBay

Was kinda funny - the seller asked for pics of his decals installed on cars so I sent him mine, and he used it on his auction. He might have asked first, but I didn't mind. I was just surprised to find a pic of my car on some guy's ebay auction.

MarkT,
Do they send you all three options: PORSCHE, BOXSTER, BOXSTER S ?

Oh, I already ordered but didn't see a place to make a selection, so I assume they must all come.

Thanks

Slate 01, you may want to contact the seller and let them know which one you want.

From ebay listing:

•Option 1 - Porsche
•Option 2 - Boxster
•Option 3 - Boxster S

Please tell me with your payment if you want Option 2-3 or I will send Option 1. Thanks

De-badge is fine if that's your style...I prefer my badging to none, however.

Hello,
I like the way you painted the "S" on your boxster. Can you tell me how you did that? Primarily how you got the letter off and how you reapplied it. I am assuming you removed it to paint it.
Thanks in advance for your help. It looks great and exactly what I was thinking of doing.

If you are talking about the red "S" sailer22, I think those come from Cayenne S cars?
I bought a red "S" off ebay I think.

Yeah, sorry, Slate - just saw your post. You do have to send him a note if you want option 2 or 3, otherwise you will get "Porsche"

Clean your lens thoroughly before applying the decal and take your time and be careful - you only get one shot at it. I actually ordered two in case I fuct up the first one, so now I have a spare.

Thanks JM,
You mean you are supposed to thoroughly read those ads, lol?

I contacted them and got everything straightened out.

Been thinking about removing it for a while now. This has probably convinced me. Love the minimalism, not a fan of branding. That said, I'm thinking about the brake light but also concerned people behind me would hate it/think it too ostentatious.

I like the retro look of the bear bottom look. Plus I am an old customize r and always de badged my cars and I wish I had a pic of my '58 Impala custom convertible to share with you but I don't. Here is a pic (again!) of my clean butt. It all depends on what turns you on so go for what pleases you. Also I don't care if someone doesn't know what kind of car I am driving. Since no one pays for my payments, gas or insurance or repairs it matters not to me what they think about my ride

I am adding a pic of a similar car to my '58 only mine was Emerald Green and I had most of the chrome trim removed and cruiser skirts, a cabinet knob grill and candy apple red wheels.

not mine but I have the same set up. Kind of minimal and to the point.
I don't like spelled out names for car models that already have a number designation.

BMW wisely stuck to the script.
