Huge looking grand touring car, but not bad.

I'll certainly take a Targa over the bath tub with big butt a.ka. 991 Cabriolet.

991 Targa

991 bath tub

Watching the conversion videos I think it's clear that the best design would be to keep the support and loose the bubble.. Mid conversion looks way too sexy and Paul walker killer reminiscent

911's look best by far in Coupe form. IMO the targas were ugly in the 70's and 80's, this one isn't much better either. They simply butcher the iconic 911 silhouette. Porsche should leave the top down motoring to the Boxster, it does it best.

The only Targas I ever like we're the first ones with the fold down rear window.

991 Targa

They need to put a wing on the back.

An late-model 80's Carrera Widebody Targa is by far a favorite look of mine. Its busy, but somehow it all balances out nicely highlighting some of the period bests for those 911s. Make that a '89 Turbo Targa with Whale Tale and I'd consider it perfect.

With all that said, I'm not a fan of the new targa. Look at the wheel well size, then look at the glass window height. The proportions are too skewed.
