I'd say keep it. Drive it. Get it dirty and "lived in".
My folks both have Porsches, a '91 964 Targa for dad and an '06 987 Boxster for mom. Dad doesn't drive the 911 very often (nowhere to really go by himself), though he drives when they both go out. And it does make him happy when he drives it, so there's that.
Hell, I don't drive by Boxster much these days since I took it off of DD status now that my E320 is on the road again. In the last 1.5 months I've only driven about 250 miles, about once a week if that. I have more fun with it on weekender duty than DD duty by far.
