Roger. Also is it possible to change the top from plastic to glass and a different color. The rear window is fogged ( which doesn't bother me too much with the top down)

Take a look at Auto Tops Direct (ATD) same as GAHH. I replaced my top last spring, highly recommended.

The S is about a 1000 rpm drop from 1st to 2nd. For my smooth shifts that means I better get 2nd engaged by then to get smooth RPM matching.
I agree that 3800 - 4000 produces a smooth transition, just do it regularly after the car has warmed, oil temp up.
I do find trying to to do a 1-2 shift 5-6k can also be a bit jerky.
Spirited shift at 5k, puts you at 4k in 2nd then it's off to the races through the rest of the gears until you are surprised at how fast triple digits display
