Waterproofing the CLU?

We've all read the stories of people either leaving their tops up in the rain, or having clogged drain holes, resulting in water entering the cabin. We've all heard of electrical gremlins that follow when the Central Locking Unit gets wet. The fact of the matter is, it sits at the lowest point of the interior.

Does anyone have experience with relocating or waterproofing the CLU? Perhaps placing it in some sort of waterproof container?
