Here's a question... Got a set of twists on a steal of a price. They just been powdercoated fronts have part # 996 362 136 01 18x8 Et 50. Backs are 996 362 140 02 18x10 Et 47. Will they fit?

They are gorgeous.

Aggressiveness in this case relates to how much the wheels extend out. The boxster fitment does not require spacers and the width is narrower.

They don't require spacers, but you can still get spacers if you want them to extend out?

You're only going to put 265 rears regardless of wheel width? Unless you want 285 which is what the 996 carrera wheels are designed for.

True. But it's also because the 996 wheels were being offered at a good price and I wanted to know if they would fit...and also because I still haven't found boxster ones.

Here is the guidance:

Fronts : 8 to 8.5 inches wide with offsets ranging from +35 to +45 depending on how aggressive you want to go.

Rears: 9 to 10 inches wide with offsets ranging from +35 to +45 depending on how aggressive you want to go.

So to answer the question, yes they will fit but you will need to space accordingly to achieve correct fit and the dersired stance.

thanks. so i should probablt not switch over my tires until spacers?

I can worry about stances later, just don't want any rub or such.

I use 20mm rear spacers w/Carrera lights and they sit fairly flush. 285 max width tires.
A word of warning - I think my wheel bearing life took a nosedive after installing spacers.

I heard spacers do extend the weight of the wheel further away from the hub, placing more strain on the bearings.

I have to run 5mm spacers all the way around on my car due to my dropped stance and coilovers...

Anyone? I have an apptment tomorrow take my 265's off my old rims and put them on my "new" rims tomorrow, and I would like to drive away from the store....

This is something that nobody talks about... but yes anything more than 5mm will progressively wear out your bearings. Hence why I prefer on getting the Boxster offset wheels to begin with.

Sorry Ekam, but that's not true. If the Net offset is the same, your wheel bearings don't know if you have a spacer or not (assuming they are quality, and hubcentric). A +25mm offset wheel is effectively the same as a +35mm with a 10mm spacer. Anything that still fits in the stock wheelwells will NOT be enough to affect the wheel bearings.

This isn't true either. A 35mm offset with a 10mm spacer equals 25mm offset

And nevermind if you have spacers you have to get extended lug bolts... Porsche only makes +5mm lug bolts. Any longer you're on your own.

Suncoast Porsche lists some of the spacers that Porsche makes including 17mm or more. My Porsche 20 MM spacers utilize the stock wheel nuts and a set of ALUMINUM nuts!
