Day 8 of our trip, 5/30/13. With sight-seeing and stops off the highway for gas, it was 502 miles.

We visited Craters Of The Moon park in ID.

On the road to Craters:

Scenes in Craters Of The Moon Park.

After Craters, we went to Arco, ID for lunch. Arco is the first nuclear-powered community in the world, in 1955. Other than that, it's almost like ID's version of Mayberry. As we drove down mainstreet, we saw the sheriff escorting a prisoner. Prisoner was front-cuffed and wearing the stereotype black-and-white stripe uniform!

It was raining when we got to Teton National Park, but we waited until the rain passed and got to see (briefly) their beauty.

Then we were on the final leg to Yellowstone:

Stay tuned for Yellowstone sights and maps.
