True, a bad coil pack or ignition module can cause the car not to run right, causes back fire, misfiring, and engine stall. But that would show up on a OBD-II scanner you would think on a modern vehicle? Check for spark with a timing light gun by hooking it to a plug wire if you can get the engine to run. Go from one bank 1-3 to the other side bank 4-6 cylinders and check if they all have spark. If they skip a cylinder, you can swap the coils/module and see if the problem jumped to the other bank. This technique works on older cars that don't have modern OBD-II but will also work on modern cars if you don't have a scanner to help with diagnosis.
