Presuming you have collision on this car, your insurance company should be acting as your advocate here and settle your claims as quickly as possible. There is really no reason for you to have to deal with her insurance company at all. If you don't carry collision, your insurance company may not be of much help, but your agent might be helpful in how to deal this, but in the end you might have to deal directly with her insurance. If I remember correctly, uninsured / under-insured does not apply to damage to your car.

Aren't you glad to be getting all of this free worthless advice?! Seriously though, good luck, it will all work out in the end.
