Same thing happened to me, they at first told me it was a total loss and then they determined it was the other drivers fault, they told me to pick the best shop I could find to have them repair.

Went to look at it today, all body work completed and primed but still in many pieces till they paint it out.

So for a 2000 Boxster where resale value was about $13,000.00 the repair bill is now over $10,000.00, go figure.
