What OBD2 cable works with Durametric?

Hello, I want to buy a OBD2 cable to read and erase errors from my 986.

What cable do you recommend me to buy? I was looking for in ebay but there is a lot and I don't know whats works correctly with DURAMETRIC software.

I actually prefer this 90% of the time.

Actron CP9125 PocketScan Code Reader : Amazon.com : Automotive

Durametric can be useful but it also has some significant software errors that can lead you down the wrong path.

I bought one of these for £27 ($45), very impressed what it does. I'm sure the software supplied is Durametric but someone's copied the lead.

I know this is a long shot but can you use this device on a 986 to change from Fehrenheit to Celcius or vice versa?

Do you have the stalk for the OBC or just the setting enabled? There are steps to change using the stalk, but without the stalk I don't know if the software can change it.

Have you tried this?
Press and hold the recirculation button. Then press the temperature up ("+") button to switch between degrees Celsius & Fahrenheit on the Climate Control Temperature and Instrument Panel Outside Temperature displays.

If not then this cable wont do it, need a specialist or dealer with a PST2.

I want read codes an erase it. I bought 2 years ago a usb cable that works correctly with durametric, but now doesn't work and need to buy another.

I don't want to waste the money in cables that doesn't work or only read codes, so this is the question what cables do you have.

Didn't work when I tried it either.

As Steve mentioned, if you dont have it already you could get the stalk and retrofit OBC. I did this and is a great upgrade, lots of settings you can change then. Added cruise at the same time.

Do you know where I can get a copy of the software? I actually have a cable that I used for programming my BMW so I just need a link to the software to be up and running. I am going to try and contact the seller also, but didn't know if you had a source.
