How much for my Porsche?

I KB'ed a 99 Porsche, and it is priced fairly high.

I got a 99 boxster with 3rd party Cool air intake, short shifters, and cd/fm

Has 119,000 miles, runs well, and has just a few minor blemishes, dings (on trunk rear)

I bought it for $7,000

I spent $275 for new rear window,

$200 for new painted front bumper

$66 for new reflector

(I'm accounting the $66 registration and $200 insurance I paid for the time I had it)

Think I could get $7900 for a good looking, 199k Black Boxster 99?

Blue Book is about $9K. I discounted the air intake and short shifter because most buyers would rather have pure stock. Also, since you didn't include any pics I assume that its only in Good condition. You should be able to get low $8K's and make a small profit on your $7900 investment. Nice flip!

I'll throw some pics up soon, sitting at Starbucks and don't have it up to 100% par yet. Will sell it when everything is painted, back together.

Welcome to the club! Good to have you. I'm sure if you can afford Starbucks the price for the Boxster was easy ....just kidding. Good luck!

Air intake is a definite discount. SSK? I don't think so, especially if the potential buyer has driven the a stock car and knows first hand how lousy the stock set up is.
The seller should just give perspective buyers the option. The time investment in returning it to the $hitty stock set up is almost nothing.

My .02 worth.
Fall of 2011 I picked up a 98with 116k for $4800. 2 owners, some recent maintenance history (rotors, pads, 4 new tires, water pump, thermostat, coolant flush, serpentine bet, oil and filter). Car was very dirty, top didn't work and rear window cracked. I spent about $1k total, with about $500 going toward a replacement top and top control relay. I replace motor mount, flushed brakes, replace gear oil, spark plugs, tubes and o rings. New ignition switch and gas struts for rear trunk thrown in as well.

After detailing the car for a weekend, I sold it for $8,200 to a coworker, who told me he'd buy the car before i ever had it finished. I'm confident I could have got more, but I doubt I'd get over high eights.

Fast forward to September 2012...I picked up another 98 with 117k, 2 owner car for $5k. Car is same color and similar condition. My plan is the same but I have been called away for work overseas and have not been home much. I plan to have the car ready to sell by mid-March. Hope to get around $8k again.

Good luck with yours!
