Yes, on these cars there are plenty of examples of wheel bearings that go WELL in advance of 100K miles. In my case, I had a front one go at maybe 45K miles (IIRC).

And yes, that's a good price in my opinion. Our local dealership (not that I much use them for repair jobs since my warranty ran out!) quoted me ~$1K.

front bearing is a breeze compared to the rear . no under tray , exhaust , drive shaft and e-brake removal . should less $$$$
