If it has a 6 speed it is a "S". If you have not test drove you are in for a fun drive.

Where do you put your legs? I am 5'10 and could use more legroom!
my saet sits about 1 inch back from the roll hoop grille, and the steereing wheel pulled out to give knee clearance and keep the arms bent. i can't heel and toe though as the steering wheel gets in the way !

What is the preference here? 5 or 6 Speed?
6 of course.. if you had a 5 speed, it would be a miller-light.

PPI. PPI. PPI. Especially important when buying from a used car dealer. Because Porshe repairs can be expensive, this is the only way to know what you're getting yourself into and $300 now can save you thousands later.

Just getting away from the - er - wireless discussion for a moment, the picture of the Boxster looks like a base model - no red calipers showing.
Miller, check it says Boxster S on the rear trunk, has dual exhaust outlets, silver (white looking) instrument dials, red calipers and it has a 3rd horizontal radiator vent at the front.
Don't get trapped into paying S money for a non S car.....

Yeah if it's a 986 6-speed it's a 3.2L "S" must be 100,K + miles for that price

Maybe they retrofitted the 6-speed trans &/or shift knob

I think they retrofitted it. The S also has red calipers, rather than the standard black.
