How mechanically-inclined are you? Not the easiest DIY, but definitely doable! My mechanic charged me right around $800 to do mine when I first got my car (no tools, no garage, daily driver)... knowing what I know now, I would have done it myself for about a third of that cost. (part is like $150 or so)

I had mine towed to his shop though. No telling what can happen if you attempt to venture out (traffic, road closures, accidents, etc... ) Tow it and feel safe.

Actually I'm not too bad. I've done several jobs myself; replaced a CAT, window regulator, secondary air pump, lights etc. I've definitely toyed with the idea of doing it myself. My only concern if there something else that's wrong. However, other than the AOS going the car has been perfectly fine.
