say it isn't so

On 10/26/05 I had new tires put on 03 boxster S at local Porsche dealer. Today 11/4/05 while detailing I found a 18"scratch on drivers rear 18"rim, also 6" similar marking on left front. I know I didn't hit anything...is this from their tire machine? no scuff marks on new tires.

what do you Porsche pros think? I will from now on check closely all work. I hope pictures attatch.

I get error message when tring to attatch pics file to large limits are 1024x768
My file is 1600 x 1200?

dkriebel, years ago, a Discount Tire chain stratched my wheels on a new car I had. I found the damage a few days after. I brought the car back, showed them the damage, and they replaced the wheel. They had to purchase the wheel from the dealership.

When I got a flat I took it in to a place that has a "touchless" tire removal system suppossedly. When I got it back it has a small ding in the rim and a black mark that got into the clear coat a bit. So much for touchless. Guess it could have been worse. I think getting your tires replaced can be a gamble. Good luck.
