Yeah - the whole mis-information thing with Porsche seems to be commonplace - I'm still trying to get down to the bottom of the whole labor included vs labor additional on my passenger airbag deactivation kit. In fact, I'm still waiting for my second key - when I bought my car the dealership gave me one key and said that was standard - of course they back peddled a few days later when I found out differently - but here I am a about 6 weeks out from purchase and still with one key (and a bunch of 'stealership' excuses). I have to admit, for a high end vehicle, sometimes I feel that dealing with Porsche is a bit like dealing with Saturn!!!!

If the car wasn't sooo amazing - I dunno - I'd walk

Meh, can't say I'm a big fan of the look. Because the cayman has that swoop in the sideskirt that leads up to its intake, the vertical intake grill looks funny without it, to me at least.

Now, in the Cayman Tequipment catalog I saw that you CAN order an intake grille in the silver color that the boxster's comes in. Porsche just kills me--what's stock on the Boxster is Tequipment on the Cayman.

So, if one were interested (meaning one liked the contrast of the silver piece as opposed to a body-colored one), one could find out how much that version is--it might end up being more economical than buying the regular one and having it painted to match the body.

I think one can spend over $2k to have the "silverish" accents on the Cayman! Kinda crazy if you ask me! For the $2k I think you get the mirror arm accents, side intake vents, front spoiler lip and the front intake grills in the bumper.

I prefer the Boxster vents personally

The Cayman vents seem to clash in my eyes.

No issues to day with my red side vents from Eric, although my car is a garage queen with 2K miles.
