Still learning about my Boxster

I was wondering if it is normal to feel the shifter move as the engine tourque changes. For example. I am driving along in say third gear at 4-5k rpms. Then if I let off the accelerator and as the rpms drop I can actually feel the shifter in my hand move a little bit - almost like the engine has settled back in it's engine mounts and the shifter is directly connected to the engine somehow. I don't experience this in any of my other maual vehicles but thought I would ask.

This is probably a terrible description but hopefully you'll have it happen to you enough to understand and tell me all is right in the universe or you will still not understand and think there is something obviously wrong with my situation.
