Husker: thank you very much, EVEN though i was born and raised in CO and HATE NEB (cept for pheasant hunting) thank you very much.

Brad: Isnt it so frustrating, using car knowledge to drive more than a honda civic, yet all you get in return is bad attitudes and stand offish people!

Frodo: As he "slid" in, he scrapped the heck outta my bumper, pushing my car forward about 6 inches. just stupidity at its worst!

I feel sorry for you,

as you are fighting a tough battle to seek the justice you deserve. Not to rub salt in a wound, but there is to some extent a lesson to be learned by all here....do not parallel park your car as you are asking for trouble. I work downtown and from my office window used to watch drivers struggle to parallel park their cars all day long and bump others cars (but never to the extent this creep has). When I return from lunch I sometimes see a nice parking spot along the street in the shade but always come to my senses and park as I usually do and walk the extra few steps to work. I know it is sad as you parked correctly but the truth is the majority of the population cannot and so to avoid hassles like this I would encourage you to avoid parking streetside as much as possible in the future. Hope you get things worked out.

I don't usually go full boat Sicilian but if that had been my ride and he didn't pay up, I'd pay that Lumina a visit sometimes karma needs a push.

Update. got the estimate today and the damage is $640.

I also stopped by the restaurant at the time the cooks were supposed to show up, and waited.
Sure enough I see the car roll up! shaking in anger I calmed down and approached him.
Long story short He had no ID, or no insurance, and said it wasn't him driving.

I let him know that it is his problem, and that I was willing to not report his hit and run to the police. I already reported it, but now that I have the full license plate number, if he pays up I wont give it to the police.

Fingers crossed!
