Drove 180 miles, 4 hours to test fix in stalling problem
Car was stalling, restarting after cool down, repeating. I replaced the Fuel Pump relay
I had been driving to work (28 miles round trip) for the last week. I always stayed near shoulder incase that was not the fix. No issues
Finally my son asked if I could come get him from school so he could come home.
His new to him car (2007 mustang - owned for 1 month) overheated and had to be towed to shop up at school the night before(Friday the 13th)
So now I had a long distance test at hand.
The last 20 miles are dark, out in nowhere type roads so I was a bit nervous.
All went well, car ran very well so it would appear that was the issue
Though I alway feel the relay after a drive now to see how hot it gets
It does get warm/hot to the touch. I'm hoping that is normal
I would be curious if others have ever felt their Fuel Pump relays after a drive to see how hot it gets
So I got to drive the whole way with top down (night time 55 degrees) and the boxster did what I expected it to do - Run
