I got the 10 gal of premium in yesterday. Pretty much all I could do, I've been cleaning and cleaning around the house as life interferes with Boxster project. I'll probably have time today to try to start it.

Other social isolation projects include a new set of struts for the Boxster. Got the struts, need some of the other parts.:dance:

Ordered a new gas cap because the tether on mine gave up the ghost. I had credit card points so it cost me nothing. :D

Got out of quarantine and took some pics around town.

Replaced the engine mount (using many expletives)
Replaced the left rear tuning fork
Changed the oil

What did you do with/to your Boxster today?

Can you share any new ones you may have invented? I believe my neighbors get tired of hearing the same old words when I'm wrenching. ;)

Changed the RH outer tie rod end and the RH rear trailing arm today. That took care of the steering wheel shake and the bumping noises from the rear.
The trailing arm is ridiculously easy to change. After the car was raised, the tools gathered up and the rear wheel removed , the removal and installation of the link was less than 10 minutes.

It would really help to get the driver's seat out of the way, but though I've decoded the secret ritual to release every other connector in the car, I can't get the seat connection to release. Does anyone have that recipe?

Finished reassembling the evaporator/heater box after fixing the blend doors.

Which method did you use to address this issue? How long did it take and was it a PIA or pretty easy?

It's a "hot" CAI. Previous owner had it installed. I will add a heat shield now that I have cleaned the engine to make it a bit more efficient.

Are you going to fabricate the shield? I'd be interested in what you come up with, including parts and method. Seriously.

As I’ve been working from home in addition to not driving it much, I opted to take the dash out to avoid cutting anything. It also allowed me to repair the recirculation flap servo - an internal gear cracked off of the output shaft and wouldn’t allow it to move much.

I did a bit of spirited motoring earlier. We were both overdue for that! Later today, she gets a nice wash.

Installed new headers and downpipes with sport CAT's :dance:
Then went for a sprited 2 hour 'test drive' to the sunny twisties today :)
