Thanks guys for this info. I try some of the advices tomorrow.
I had this problem started two days ago. At first it started honking every time I drive on top of a speed bump, at very low speed, and then, even while turning at corners or roundabout. At one stage I felt so very embarrassed. going to work, turning at a roundabout with a fair bit of traffic, it started honking again, and damn it's loud!! Roof top down, there was no escaping the look on everybody's faces looking at me as if I'm the village idiot, in a Porsche!!! lol So much for a Porsche ey? :-). Cheers and thanks again for the good work guys. |

I recently bought a 2000 Boxster. I noticed the horn didn't work. So I checked fuse B3 and it was blown. When I replaced the fuse the horn was as if someone was holding it on, without the steering wheel being touched, until the fuse blew again. Obviously there is a horn switch in the steering wheel. Will the rubber bushing behind the bracket cause this?

Not too get to elektronikal
But most folks have no idea how much current a horn uses when that giant buzzer is running....it is substantial ....many amps

I thought the IMS held it in place

If you are thinking that the rotors are worn out and causing the issue, maybe you should email ECS first. |
Actually
I was thinking a combination of roller and ball bearings interlaced might be the solution
