What is this switch?

Hey, I have this switch and have no idea what it's for or what it does. The button rotates about one full turn and it "clicks" in and out.

That's not a factory switch.

On a side note, what does this button/knob do?

I have seen it on many boxsters 2001+, I'm guessing it's something to do with windshield wipers?

Looked in my 00' Manual and could not find anything about it on the dashboard diagram.

I had one like that on my last car. It deployed the passenger ejector seat.

Push button is momentary switch hooked to garage door opener under dash, that's how I rigged mine till I got homelink.

Well, everyone's right about the wiper delay switch.... The switch in question feels like a rheostat when it's turned. I assumed the click in and out turns something on and off. Thought maybe it was some kind of fader control. Maybe for the rear deck speakers?
