Statistics of engine replacement in Boxsters

Actaully let me re do that. Does anyone have a list of vin# to avoid. I see you see sai between March 98-99. I assum the hole year of 1999. If not when in 1999 were the cars fixed, Or should I stick to buying a 1997 or 2000 on up and avoid 1998 and 1999 all together.
