Statistics of engine replacement in Boxsters

I still have not gotten my boxster yet. the one I check out had to many problems.

I am very spooked out by this engine failure problem I keep hearing in all thesee forums. Does anyone have a any statistic on how many boxsters engines died and had to be replaced. Everyone talks about this so much it is making me very scared to buy a used boxster. I can't afford a new one. I am so in love with the car. bUt I can't afford for and engine to die and cost me over $10000 to fix.
Are people exaggerating or have there been that many engines that died.

If there any links or charts with how many boxster engine died I would love to see the truth.
thanks
