Wow, it seems like over half of the vehicles listed as a "Dream Daily Driver" definately have the "DREAM" part down, but don't quite get the "DAILY DRIVER" part. Either that or we're a bunch of poor decision makers here. These are mostly DREAM CARS -period.
How many of the cars listed so far will perform just dandy in the rain, or better yet, snow and ice? (Daily) And as deliriousga said, who wants a car the WILL be in the shop (AND for a while) as theirown. Shouldn't that be factored in when 50miles/day is the minimum? (Daily) And let's not forget about comfort. Some of these cars don't even have AC or stereos to go with their rigid seats! (I can manage fine without a radio, but no AC? That doesn't fly here in Texas) And I'm sure over time, EVERYBODY drooling over your car would get old. (It's nice, but after a while...) And lastly, parking! I feel a bit nervous parking (i.e. door dings) my plain ol' Boxter when I go to the movies. I'd develop ulcers in NO TIME if I had some of the cars mentioned so for.

"Dream" to me, is just an easy way of saying, "excluding cost." I think it should be a car that's versitile, something that is able to easily rack up the miles. Something comfortable that won't wear on you... But admirably fast. Would you still choose the car you've choosen?

but if you suddenly win a $250 million mega jackpot, wouldn't you be driving a Ferrari as a daily driver? if the F50 is in the shop, oh well, drive the F40 or F360 CS. Of course I'm dreaming of a $250 million jackpot too |

I think the new Z06 would fit the bill as a DD.
Comfy and fast I am told.

Yeah, there were a few answers I saw that seemed good. Z06, RS6, possibly even the SL600 and DB9. But none will surpass the M3!!! (Well, maybe the M5)
I just think it'd be nice to bring more than 1 friend with you in your daily driver once in a while.

Just found out I have another kid on the way. I guess the days of the Boxster daily driver are numbered.

CONGRATS lexuspilot!!!! Sorry about the Box, but good news on the new addition. An M6 would seat a family of four! M5 would also.
