Dream Daily Driver?

I have noticed the other threads always talking about daily drivers and dream cars...how about this...post your DREAM DAILY DRIVER!

Parameters:

1. Must put at least 50 miles/day
2. You have another vehicle with cargo space for the trips to home depot so you don't have to worry about that aspect.
3. You don't have to put more than two people in it.
4. Money is not an object, thus the term dream.

Ferrari 575M Maranello would be mine. I love the lines, the howl and the built in passion. God bless the Italians.

I lust after the new, not yet released, Corvette Z06. 505 HP, top speed of 190MPH. Zero to 60 in 3.7 seconds.

Hmmm, how much did you say it was?

Hmm

anyone one of the following will do:
Ford GT
Maserati Gransport
Ferrari 360 Challenge
1973 911 RS
Murcielago (v12: music)

Money and maintenance no object, eh?

I'd like to try out a Bentley Continental GT

BuffaloBoxster 08-18-2005 07:11 AM

Given that I live in a snowy climate I'd have to say I'd like an Audi RS6 for my daily driver. If climate were also no object I would be commuting in a Ferrari F355 F1 cabrio.

Aston Martin DB9. OMG one of the most beautiful cars ever made. And I think it has optional ejection seats, rockets, and smoke screen!

hey, according to your conditions, I'll choose from the following:

F40
F50
F60 (Enzo)
F430 CS (not out yet)
Zonda
CGT

50 miles/day in a supercar hurts the resale value, but who cares, I'm dreaming, right?

less of a dream?
911 Turbo :p

KRZTACO 08-18-2005 08:58 AM

Ferrari F355, or F360 cabrio

The F40 is one of my all time favorite cars, but the idea of driving one daily makes me shudder. No carpet, no door panels, pull-strings to open the doors, fiberglass seats.. It's a go-kart with bodywork. Now I love driving karts but I wouldn't want to commute in one!

deliriousga 08-18-2005 11:02 AM

I'm almost there. The dream would be to have a 928 GTS as a DD. The S4 is wonderful, but the upgrades in the GTS would be perfect. :D

Ruf Boxster RK Spyder

I can't believe no one has mentioned the RUF Boxster RK Spyder .

Perfectlap 08-18-2005 11:19 AM

Well let's see if I didn't have to pay for the car would I choose a $200K RUF 987 or a yellow V8 Ferrari 360?

ddb 08-18-2005 01:16 PM

Ferrari F430 Spyder (with manual 6-speed)

KRZTACO 08-18-2005 01:53 PM

This thread should be changed to: "What type of Ferrari do you want as a daily driver?"

ROFL!! Most want the Ferrari until they drive it for awhile and then have to get it repaired. Daily driver becomes a 2-month garage queen waiting for parts.

JP-s-in st. louis 08-18-2005 03:46 PM

It would have to be in order:
97' 993TTS
959
Lambo Murci
new SL600AMG
F355
RUF RKSpyder
My soon to be Boxster

Jeph 08-18-2005 06:31 PM

For me, it'd be an BMW M3 (CSL would be nice, but an SMG would probably be a better "daily" driver).

(The F430 would be my Ferrari of choice.)

TOM986 08-18-2005 07:48 PM

daily driver

My drailey driver is a 2003 Boxster and I can't imagine having more fun in anything else!

lexuspilot 08-19-2005 02:38 AM

I have a 2004 Box as a daily driver and I am not wanting. I don't even go to car lots to browse. Sometimes I wish it was faster, most of the time I don't. It is nice to get on it hard, often, without losing your license. The motor sounds are the best thing this side of a $200k Ferrari.
