Silly question, but do these fobs need occasional battery replacements?

Mine is an 02, and it is intermittently working with the fobs...no issues with inside the car switch.

Hi,

There is no sound in the trunk when I press the button. The red light on the dash does flash through but the trunk does not open.

I got one key with the car and got a new one from the dealership. Both aren't able to open the trunk.

Thanks
Terry

Where is the solenoid situated, is it part of the lock mechanism ? I can't seem to find reference of it on the diagram.

Same Problem

Hi, I have the same issue. In my 2003 S the trunk release button inside the car (left of the driver seat) does open the trunk no problem. The remote will not open it. The remote opens the car doors and the front hood, just not the trunk.
